✅The Associate Degree of Accounting is a two year paraprofessional degree that will prepare you for employment in the accounting profession in Australia. The Associate Degree of Accounting aligns with industry requirements and meets the educational requirements of the Tax Practitioners’ Board with regard to registration as a BAS Agent. The Associate Degree of Accounting will allow you to develop both practical skills and comprehensive knowledge to equip you for work in the accounting profession.

You will develop knowledge and skills in accounting, tax, finance, statistics, marketing and law as they apply to the accounting profession as well as the broader Australian business environment. In second year you will undertake an industry internship which will provide you with the opportunity to synthesise and apply your learning in a real workplace situation, as well as establishing valuable professional contacts.

The Associate Degree of Accounting is designed as a two year full time or four year part time course.

This course is suitable for:
– School leavers;
– Graduates of Certificate IV or higher level qualifications in accounting / bookkeeping / financial services;
– Mature aged students seeking to retrain or change careers.

Credit transfer is offered for identified units from the Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications in Accounting or Financial Services (Accounting) and the Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Financial Services (Bookkeeping).
