So why don’t I use the Apple Credit Card?
While I LOVE my Apple products such as:
Apple iPad
iPhone
Apple Watch
and oh yes…even the Apple Pencil (used with the iPad).
I just can’t get behind the Apple Credit Card.

The reason is that I feel there are other credit cards that offer a bigger “bang for your buck” when it comes down to cash back rewards.

While the Apple Card has no annual fee, here is what their cash back looks like:
3% Cash Back on Apple.com, Apple Store, and select merchant purchases.
2% Cash Back when you use Apple Pay
1% on Everything Else.

While this does sound good, and the unlimited daily cash back is definitely nice…the math doesn’t add up when compared to some of these stronger cards.

Such as the American Express Blue Everyday Cash Card
No Annual Fee BUT
3% on Groceries
2% on U.S. Gas Stations + Select Department Stores
1% on all other purchases

Then, there is my favorite, the AMEX Blue Preferred Card:
$95 Annual Fee BUT:
6% Cash Back on Groceries
6% Cash Back on Streaming Services (hello Netflix, Hulu, AT&T TV Now, YouTube TV, etc)
3% Cash Back on Gas Stations and Transportation (parking, tolls, trains, buses)
1% Cash Back on Everything Else!

If you’re not a big AMEX Fan but you’re interested in something other than Apple Credit Card, then check out the Citi Double Cash (1% on all purchases plus 1% when you pay off the balance!).
